Wonderful Weekend
Yupz. That's how i would describe my last weekend.
1) I had a wonderful time on friday. Made a trip down to Angeline's place to fulfill long overdued stuff. Had a very satisfying time personally sharing some things wif Angeline, esp on how God is showing the importance of us being the tenants in Mark 12:1-12. Very incredible time, even though i spent alot of time on it.......arrived home well, super late.
2) Went down for St John training on sat. After a long time not being wif my cadets, i finally saw my beloved cadets again in sch. Been well, rather disappointed at how things have developed in sch, but nonetheless, i was very glad to be of help and able to encourage them on sat.
3) Spent almost 20 plus on transport on sat, to sch, sch to church.......blah. Rushed sort of back from sch meeting to committee's meeting. Not too bad, more importantly was the prayer meeting thereafter. Man.......my youths all missed it. Was a very power meeting, onli Reuben was there.....hope that he has somehow truely experienced personally wat personal encounter wif God is........
4) Sunday.......well, could hardly start the 12noon practise. Finally finished and went down to main hall setup.......less than 1/2way through, God is very very strange, coz He sort of told me to well, stop the practise, despite us not thru wif it yet.........well, do wat? pray.
And wat a verse He gave me to share wif all my co-workers there - my backup, my Reuben pianist......The Words - : lukewarm service is like poison to Him, He would rather spit it out. Strong words eh? Yar, i tot so too.......until i was myself reminded that, WHO ARE WE? Nothing, if not for God.
So, i obeyed and shared, and spent more time in prayer than practise..........and indeed, when our attitude are right, the service was as all can see........significantly different. Dun thnk anione can guess that that service has less time than all others before, spent in practise.
MORAL OF THE STORY:
PRAYER / ATTITUDES OF THE HEART IS MORE IMPORTANT.
And this was confirmed thru Rev Choi's msg:
The "Shi3 Ming4 Gan3" (call to serve Him) is more important than our skills, talents.
Indeed, wat are my skills........rubbish in His eyes.
So, to all my youths reading this:
After hearing God, Listening to God, facing and seeing God,
WE NEED TO CHOOSE AND DECIDE.
Just like Joshua at the end of his life, he stated the summary of his life:
As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord (Joshua 24:15).
Where are we serving today? Wat are our attitudes of serving today?
I will continue to ponder over this........
As for Beloved Eliza, Gab and Angeline, this is the reason i believe, why we din really did much on Ephesians 2 sharing:
There is a more impt lesson for learning. And also, din we not have Eph2 as our Youth Fellowship?
Rather a time for sharing, and praying.................
Gtg, meeting Karkeat tonite.
Man, i anticipate great things from God today!
=)
